Environment Models
     |
An air conditioning unit seen on many a roof top.
I've seen few of these in games and they don't seem detailed enough.
If there are levels that take place on rooftops, units like these need
more detail. The texture itself consist of some weathered rusted
metal, a power box, some PVC pipes and wires. The white on the
bottom is Kilz roofing paint, and the gray lines are the coils that the
air sucks though. One thing I did miss is placing a fan on top
which I will fix and re-upload.
Texture map size is 1024 x 1024, the size accepted in Unreal engines.
Poly count under 1000 Took me 3 hours one day to model
and an hour to texture.

This is a building for a background set, I made this
using a series of maps since the unwrapping of this would consist of
several maps. Poly count reaches around 1200. This model
took me a couple days. One full day for the model, and another few
hours the next day to make the materials.

A generator, mainly used in commercial
businesses. I made sure I've included some details including
ventilation and panels. I used a photograph of a generation as a
reference to create this. Polys are under 1500. Texture map
size is 1024 x 1024 for detail and use in Unreal engine. This
model took me a full evening to create, adding a few hours to texture.

A work in progress. This is a commercial
building. As you can see there is already an AC unit and generator
as well as power lines. This model needs further optimizing before
I apply the texture map.

| My renders of some plant life.
On the left we have a fern clump. On the right, a couple of baby
trees. Both models utilize the "Randerizer" plugin for Max,
however I had to delete additional copies to lower the poly count while
maintaining some form of volume. On the farthest right is a full 3D
render of a swamp scene where I use some additional plant models.
I want to go back and redo some of the trees and upload them
individually. |
Weapon Models
    |
A Berretta M9 pistol. This falls around 800
polys, texture size 512 x 512. This model took me a full evening
to model, unwrap, and texture.
|
      |
Sniper Rifle, complete with mount and telescope.
Polycount is under 1600 due to intensive detail, which forced me to
create the texture map in 2048 x 2048 then shrank it down to 1024 x
1024. This took me near four days, two to model (which was trial
and error) and a few hours for the next two days unwrapping and
texturing.

A shotgun named the "Destroyer" This
concept came to mind when I pictured the NES's Zapper gun as a deadly
shotgun. This is roughly 1300 polys, texture size 1024 x 1024.
This took me two days, one to complete the model, and one day to unwrap
and texture.
|
 |
A simple katana, less than 100 polys.
Took me an hour to model and another hour to texture.

Vehicle Models
       |
| This is an Apache in-game model. This
consists of a whopping 2400 polys, using 6 different diffuse maps to
get every detailed part of this vehicle. I wasn't able to get this
in fewer maps without smooshing and blurring details. There were
details done for the wheels, missiles, and the front gun. I'm
going back to this one at a later time to reduce the amount of diffuse
maps which will result in retexturing the base of the helicopter and
other needed details. |
